Video Premiere: ‘Lately’ From Billy Ray Cyrus’ Brother Clyde

“Lately” music video from Billy Ray Cyrus’ band Brother Clyde has been made public without any appearance from the group’s members. Instead, it features what happened lately in the world, showing massive flood, earthquake and hurricane destroying the earth. It is not only about natural disaster but also shows that some destructions are caused by human, such as oil spill and war.

“I thought it was quintessential to this video not to have any band performance … no pictures of my face,” Billy Ray explained to The Boot. “It’s about the world, the human race and Mother Earth. We wanted the video to stay in that realm. We were looking at everything that’s happened lately — the earthquake in Haiti, the floods in Tennessee, the oil spill — there was stuff on the news every single day that reflects more and more what ‘Lately’ is about.”

T.I. has filmed a music video for his new single “Got Your Back” and is going to premiere it sometime soon. In anticipation of that, the Atlanta rapper offers a sneak peek which features his collaborator Keri Hilson.

“Got Your Back” is expected to make the cut to T.I.’s first post-prison studio album “King Uncaged” which reportedly is due for September 28 U.S. release. The music video, meanwhile, is planned to be premiered on MTV Jams this coming Thursday, July 22.

T.I. explained about the song to Jamie Foxx in an interview, “[It's] basically just me showing my appreciation to all the ladies who got they man’s back in the world, acknowledging the one who had my back and acknowledging the ones that got they man’s back at the same time.”

Beside Keri Hilson, T.I. will also hook up with Lady GaGa, Eminem, Trey Songz, B.o.B and The-Dream.

Drake allows fans to get a behind-the-scene glimpse of his “Fancy” music video which is promised to include “great performance” scenes with T.I. and Swizz Beatz. Since the clip is made to “make women feel special,” the Canadian rapper of course also brought the ladies in it.

“For me, there’s a lot of pressure, because I feel like he’s creating music from a place that’s so pure and so unique and so original,” director Anthony Mandler told MTV. “It pushes me to try to create imagery that stands in the same zone.”

Drake also raved about the music video director, “Me and Anthony shot ‘Over’ together, and for the first time, I really felt like, ‘This is how I’m supposed to look.’ From there, it’s sorta been like an inseparable bond.”

Also offering his comment was T.I. who said, “I’m honored, privileged and absolutely pleased to be a part of this extravaganza that you are witnessing before you here today.”

“Fancy” is a song appearing in Drake’s debut album “Thank Me Later”. The music video is yet to have any premiere date.

Bruno Mars Debuts Music Video for ‘The Other Side’

After making cameos in other artists’ music videos, Bruno Mars finally appears in his own clip. Directed by Nick Bilardello and Cameron Duddy to support his single “The Other Side”, the video was filmed in Los Angeles when he was in town to do a photoshoot.

“The Other Side” features B.o.B and Cee-Lo. The song appears in Bruno’s first mini album “It’s Better If You Don’t Understand” which contains four tracks and has been on sale since May this year.

Prior to that, Bruno Mars has burned Billboard Hot 100 with two singles in which he lends his vocal. The 24-year-old singer/songwriter reached the No. 1 position on the U.S. singles chart with B.o.B’s “Nothin’ on You” and then climbed to No. 4 with Travis McCoy’s “Billionaire”.

Ne-Yo Premieres ‘Beautiful Monster’ and ‘Champagne Life’ Video

Following a previously-released teaser, Ne-Yo fully unveils two music videos for his singles “Beautiful Monster” and “Champagne Life”. Making their way out on BET, both of the clips were filmed back to back and are directed by Wayne Isham with the scripts written by Ne-Yo himself.

In the first video which co-stars Columbus Short, John Silver, Cliff McGhee and Galen Hooks, Ne-Yo is facing off a “Beautiful Monster” to save the world. “[It] is one piece of a very long and intricate story,” he said. “When you see the first video, make sure that you’re paying attention because all of the videos tell a story. So pay attention – you don’t want to miss nothing.”

It is then revealed in the “Champagne Life” video that Ne-Yo and the female villain have history together. He was romantically linked to her before she was turned into Diamond Eye, a “crazy, psycho mass-murderer.”

Both songs are expected to make the cut in Ne-Yo’s upcoming fourth studio project “Libra Scale” which is eyed to hit the U.S. market on September 21.

Soulja Boy has a number of women accompanying him in a music video for his single “Digital”. One of them declares her love for the rapper by writing his name on the mirror and kissing it. Directed by Alex Nazari, the newly-debuted video features some male pals of the young MC as well in addition to the fine ladies.

“Digital” is expected to appear in Soulja Boy’s forthcoming third studio album “Dre” which was previously entitled “The DeAndre Way”. He is also likely to include a song called “Rich Girl” which has him teaming up with fellow young star Justin Bieber.

Most recently, Soulja Boy hooked up with Ciara and Gucci Mane in a remix of his track “Pretty Boy Swag”. Other big musicians he wishes to have as his collaborators are Jay-Z, Beyonce Knowles and Eminem.

Rick Ross’ “Sweet Life” music video is out for viewing pleasure with “The Untouchable Maybach Empire” as the tagline. The clip sees the 34-year-old rapper dressed in a similar suit with his featured guest John Legend and spitting his verses in front of a caged tiger.

“Sweet Life” is listed in Ross’ newly-released mini album “The Albert Anastasia”. The music video is directed by Ross’ longtime collaborator Spiff TV who has directed almost all of his freestyle videos in the past couple of years.

“Albert Anastasia” is put out to tide fans over until Rick Ross’ new full-length album “Teflon Don” is ready for release. P. Diddy, Trey Songz, Birdman and Ne-Yo are among collaborators line-up.

“It’s more than just an extended play,” he told MTV. “Because when I started recording and it was sounding too good, I wanted to put more songs in there than what I wanted to initially. … I named it that because Albert Anastasia was a self-made man. He was a boss.”

Early in the morning on July 13, Usher fully unleashes his “There Goes My Baby” music video. The music video is directed by Anthony Mandler and was filmed in Los Angeles last month. It was previously previewed in a short snippet.

Basically, this clip gives fans a look at “every man’s desire for women,” according to Us Weekly. The 31-year-old R&B singer is seen engaged in steamy scenes with a female model. He is taking off her stockings, caressing and kissing her all over.

“There Goes My Baby” is the latest single from Usher’s sixth studio album “Raymond vs. Raymond” which has been in stores since March this year. According to Usher, this song is Rihanna’s favorite track. Mary J. Blige additionally confessed on Twitter that she also falls in love with the song.

Another single from Usher which recently hit the web is the one which features Pitbull. It’s titled “DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love” and included in “Raymond” re-release “Versus” which is set to arrive in U.S. market on August 24.

Jason Derulo teases his upcoming music video for single “What If” in a short snippet. He drops a question in this preview: what if the only way to save the one you love was to never meet them? Fans can find out the answer when the video arrives in full later this month.

Nicki Minaj said she has an alter ego and will reveal it when releasing her first studio album later this year. The Young Money female rapper actually has hinted the alter ego since May, writing on Twitter “I’ve officially changed my name and will only respond….to Roman. Roman Zolanski. Out.”

After almost two months keeping silent about what she meant with the message, now Minaj talked to MTV that she will let the upcoming album explain it for her. She stated, “As of now, you’ll know Nicki and you’ll know Roman, my crazy alter ego Roman Zolanski. But you’ll meet Onika [her birth name is Onika Maraj] before the year ends.”

Of the recording process itself, Minaj shared it “is coming along just spectacular.” She teased more, “I been doing a lot of work with Swizz [Beatz], and the stuff that we been coming upon is magical. When people hear the album, they’re going to get to know Onika. And no one knows Onika.”

In the meantime, fans can expect the arrival of “Your Love” music video which was filmed over the weekend with Hype Williams serving as a director. Met during the video shoot, Nicki Minaj admitted she was surprised when learning that “Your Love” climbed to No. 1 on Rap Songs chart.

“I was not planning on putting the song out at all,” she confessed. “But then I heard it one day, somebody told me it was online. And I was like, ‘No way, no way in the world that song is out.’ I went and listened to it and was really upset. It wasn’t mixed, it wasn’t finished, it wasn’t anything – I wasn’t gonna use it at all. But then radio started playing it.”

By ruling the Rap Songs chart, Minaj has become the first female rapper to top the list since Lil’ Kim reigned the chart in 2003 with “Magic Stick” which features 50 Cent.
