After much talk about Lady Gaga’s nearly completed follow-up album, the world got it’s first taste of some new material from the pop superstar at her performance at Elton John’s White Tie and Tiara Ball last Thursday.

While seated at one of her signature deconstructed pianos, Gaga told the crowd: “This is a brand-new record that no one’s ever heard before. And I’ve never, ever played it live, ever.” Gaga goes on to describe the new song, titled “You and I,” as “a bit of a rock n roll tune.”

Another sneak peek to Lady GaGa’s highly-anticipated music video for
her single “Alejandro” is put out. It contains similar scenes, featured on the first teaser which was revealed on “Larry King Live”, with new additional footage intercepted in between.

Directed by Steven Klein, the music video has “homoerotic military theme” and is going to be premiered on June 7. GaGa told Larry King earlier this week, “It is a celebration of my love and appreciation for the gay community, my admiration of their bravery, their love for one another and their courage in their relationships.”

In further statement, she explained, “I can speak for myself in that my admiration comes from an incredibly steadfast and joyful courage and bravery they have for one another and their community. To be gay and live openly in this society requires tremendous strength. … I admire it and envy it in some ways. It’s something that, as a woman, I don’t always wholeheartedly possess.”

Lily Allen has vowed to carry on penning songs after winning three prestigious Ivor Novello awards on Thursday, May 20 – and she wants Lady GaGa to record the tracks. The “Smile” hitmaker announced earlier this year she plans to quit recording and performing live after a string of summer festival dates.

But after she scooped three songwriting trophies at the Ivor Novello ceremony she’s decided to carry on in the music industry – but in a behind-the-scenes role. Allen tells Britain’s The Sun, “I didn’t realize I was an exceptional songwriter. I still just kind of think my songs are like nursery rhymes – little ditties that I write for myself. I am overwhelmed.”

“I’m still writing songs all the time and I won’t be writing just for myself anymore. I want to write for Lady Gaga.”

Heidi Montag has a new music video coming out. The clip compiles real footage of her life and is aimed to promote the title track of her debut album “Superficial”. It includes her 2009 performance in Miss Universe beauty pageant and her wedding with husband Spencer Pratt.

“This is real footage we’ve collected over the years, ” she told People. “I’m a reality star and I wanted to bring that into my music video. Someone like Lady GaGa has to fake paparazzi for her video and create that whole world but that’s the real life I live. That’s my reality.”

“I want to make the new 2010 version of a pop star. I want to become a galaxy star,” she continued. “The sky is the limit. I want to be a mogul, music, acting, producing, writing. I want to wear every hat in every business! ”

Lady GaGa and Beyonce’s video for ‘Telephone’ has clocked up half a million views in the 12 hours since it was premiered at 11:30pm (GMT) last night.

‘Telephone’ features on Lady GaGa’s ‘The Fame Monster’ album and is released as a single in the UK on Monday (March 15).

Lady GaGa has started filming a music video with her featured guest Beyonce Knowles for their joint track “Telephone”. It reportedly is shot in a desert in Los Angeles and will pick up where the storyline of “Paparazzi” video left off with the same director Jonas Akerlund serving behind the lens.

Rumor has it, the video will follow GaGa when she is put behind the bars and rescued by Beyonce. One of GaGa’s Monster Ball supporting acts, Semi Precious Weapons, and comedian Luenell will make a cameo. Actor Tyrese Gibson is also said to be pursued for the leading man.

As for the outfit of the two female singers, GaGa’s designers Franc Fernandez and Oscar Olima are rumored to create destroyed denim pieces for them. This video is yet to have any premiere date.

Appearing in “The Fame Monster” album, “Telephone” is not Lady GaGa and Beyonce Knowles’ first duet. They previously hooked up in a song called “Video Phone” which is listed in Beyonce’s “I Am…Sasha Fierce [2nd Deluxe Edition]“.

On another news, Lady GaGa is rumored to serve as an opening act at the forthcoming Grammy Awards, singing one of the songs from “The Fame Monster”. It is suggested that she will make a surprise performance with Elton John.

“The Oprah Winfrey Show” producer spilled that Lady GaGa will be on the show this week, January 15. “Lady gaga next Friday everyone!,” so Sheri Salata tweeted on Monday. It is still unclear whether the controversial singer would be both sitting for an interview and performing.

Since the Friday shows are dedicated for live television, GaGa will travel to Chicago on that same day. Such is not the case with “Britain’s Got Talent” singing sensation Susan Boyle who is also scheduled to be on the show. Susan is set to fly in on Wednesday, January 13 for a taped appearance.

Beside Lady GaGa and Susan Boyle, Oprah Winfrey also invited Adam Lambert to her couch. Rumor has it, Adam would perform a duet with Susan since they would tape their sessions on the same day.

Rapper The Game is pressuring his record label bosses to set up studio time with pop sensation Lady Gaga, because he’s convinced a collaboration between the two artists would be “monumental”.

The Dreams star, real name Jayceon Taylor, admits he is desperate to collaborate with GaGa on his upcoming R.E.D. album because the outlandish hit-maker is a fellow music “rebel”.

He says, “I’m trying to get (Interscope Records executive) Jimmy Iovine to throw me in the studio with Lady GaGa. She’s a rebel, and I go against the grain every day, so, if it happens, it’ll be monumental for the state of music.”

Danish pop band Alphabeat have made public a music video in companion to their single “Hole in My Head”. The video follows the group’s male lead singer Anders SG as he is lying on the operation table and suffering from an unknown disease. Halfway through the video, it is known that the pain is caused by the existence of the band’s other member Stine Bramsen inside Anders’ body.

“Hole in My Heart” is taken from Alphabeat’s second studio album “The Spell” which has been in stores across Denmark since March 2009. Serving as the second single, the track will be released on February 22, preceding the U.K. release of the album on March 1.

Alphabeat will soon hit the road with Lady GaGa. They are going to be opening for the dance queen when she embarks on her revamped “Monster Ball” tour in the United Kingdom starting in February.
