Leo-Tan comes from the caribbean Island of ST Maarten, live in Trinidad for many years, and has participated in many songfestivals and open air sessions.

Leo-Tan now lives in Holland and is expanding his connections in Europe. He is available for solo and with band performances, songwriting,music and singing coaching, and also for producing.

Growing up in a musical family on the Island of St Maarten, Leo-Tan was gifted with the ability to sing and play instruments.
At age five he started playing guitar and shortly after began singing and playing in different festivals, parties, and Gospel events in St Maarten and other Caribbean islands.

As the years went by peer pressure got the best of him and he started playing and performing more for secular events, and got involved in various competitions, and was toasting for money or for anything that was worth competing for.

Later on he joined a local band, and was playing for Carnival and other Caribbean festivities, playing electric guitar, and singing for Reggae, and Dancehall repertoires.
However, doing all of these things Leo-Tan was not satisfied with the progress and support of the locals, so he left in 1991 to The Netherlands.

Ever since then he was involved with numerous projects, performances and interviews in The Netherlands, and nearby countries.
Leo-Tan is presently busy doing some collabs with different artists, and is writing, composing, and producing for different artists and groups.
He has written many wonderful songs of his own that has not been exposed, and he is busy getting the right connections to get this done.
Leo-Tan sings All THE VOCALS in his tracks including BACKINGS, and the Dancehall toasting.

Leo-Tan has performed in Germany, Austria, England, Belgium, Bermuda, and all over the Netherlands and the Caribbean.
Leo-Tan is presently writing songs for his upcoming albums and just completed his first official video feat Reza aka the Persian prince. Leo-Tan is actively busy with many projects, writing, composing, producing, and also vocal coaching.

Denise Jannah was born in Suriname, South America. With her family she moved to Holland in the mid seventies. For 4,5 years she studied Law at the University of Utrecht, but her love for music made her change her course: she enrolled into the Conservatory in Hilversum and completed her studies there, also earning her degree as a vocal educator.

In 1989 she won third prize at the Internationales Liederfestival “Menschen und Meer” in Rostock, former D.D.R. In that year she also was offered an important part in the musical “A Night at the Cotton Club”in which she starred in 347 performances in Holland, Germany and Belgium.

Her first album, “Take It From The Top” she recorded in 1991 with Timeless Records (Wageningen, Holland). In that same year she won the “Golden Microphone” at he National Jazz Vocal Contest in Breda, Holland. 1991 was also the first year (of many) in which she performed at the international North Sea Jaz Festival in The Hague, Holland.

In 1992 Jannah won first prize at the international Golden Orpheus Festival in Burgas, Bulgaria. There she also won third prize in the extra competition where the contestants were required to sing a composition by a bulgarian composer (not necessarily in Bulgarian).

In 1993 Denise Jannah recorded her second album for Timeless Records: “A Heart Full Of Music”. This album was recorded in New York. For this album she received her first Edison Jazz Vocal Award (important Dutch music award, comparable to the US Grammy Award). All through the years Jannah’s musical activities included numerous concerts in clubs, theaters and concert halls, teaching, and appearing in many televison- as well as radio programs.

In 1995 she was contracted by the prestigious label Blue Note Records (New York, USA). Her first album with them was “I Was Born In Love With You”. On this album she was featured also with a Big Band. (Recorded in New York)

In 1996 she recorded a ‘cross-over’ album, a mix of different styles, titled “Different Colours”.

She performed in the “EBU Jazz Night” from the European Broadcasting Union, broadcasted ‘live’ in 16 european countries. Also in 1996 was the premiere of the movie- documentary “Denise Jannah, New Lady In Jazz” made by renowned dutch film director Hans Hylkema, who is known for his music documentaries.

Among the highlights in 1997 was her performance for the European Union in The Hague, Holland in the Hall of Knights in January, and performing in May in the same Hall for Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of Holland, former president Bill Clinton and First Lady Hillary Rodham-Clinton, and heads of states of Europe in the ”Commemoration Of 50 Years Marshall Help Plan for Europe”. In the meantime she had toured in a.o. Chili and Japan.

In 1997 Jannah was offered one of the leading parts in “Joe, The Musical”.

In 1998 Denise Jannah and Marjorie Barnes were the leading ladies in Fats Waller’s musical show “Ain’t Misbehavin’ ”, (European Tour). The “Ain’t Misbehavin’ “ cast performed for Mrs. Rodham-Clinton when she hosted a reception during her visit to Holland that year. In

1999 Jannah’s fifth album was released: “The Madness Of Our Love”, also on Blue Note Records and recorded in New York. This album was nominated for the Edison Jazz Vocal Award. Also in 1999 she performed at the prestigious “Spoleto Festival” In Charleston, South Carolina (USA).

In a huge ‘live’ broadcast (54 countries) during the change of the Millennium Jannah performed the song “Different Colours, One Rainbow” (her own lyrics) with about 100 children at the Dam Square in Amsterdam. The program was titled “Hello 2000”.
Also in January she opened the Barbados Jazz Festival, at the same time opening for Wynton Marsalis’ Lincoln Centre Jazz Orchestra.

Apart from leading her own group Jannah had also performed several times as a featured guest with the Willem Breuker Collective. In 2000 their album “Thirst!” was released, on which Jannah performed 5 songs. She was again nominated for the Edison Jazz Vocal Award for her contribution to Willem Breuker’s album.

The Willem Breuker Collective has been around for 27 years and has toured all over the world. Jannah has joined them on trips to Italy, Switzerland and France.

In July 2000 Jannah was presented with the Edison Jazz Public Award, during her 7th appearance at the North Sea Jazz Festival in the Hague, Holland.

In 2001 Jannah performed in Curaçou for the Curaçou Jazz Foundation, and at the festival “Jazz en Tête” in Clairmont-Ferrand, France.

In 2002 she performed at “Printemps du Jazz” in Nîmes, France.

Denise Jannah is a person of many interests. She is a vocalist, actress, educator, theatre vocal coach, composer and lyricist, who has made her mark in the world of jazz but who does not at all shy away from other styles like Latin, Fusion or World music. She claims her artistic freedom and loves to blend styles, of course also including her rich Surinamese cultural background. She is multilingual, from which she also benefits in her music.

Jannah has been teaching Jazz at the World Music department of the Conservatory in Rotterdam, Holland for several years. Numerous have been her private classes, workshops and master classes.
As a theatre vocal coach she works with theatre companies like “De Nieuw Amsterdam” and “Theater Cosmic”, both in Holland.

She has been a vocal coach for 7 theatre productions so far, including “Antigone” and “Regenboogvrouwen” (“For Coloured Girls Who Considered Suicide When The Rainbow Was Enough” from Ntozake Shange, USA). She was last vocal coach for “Romeo ‘N Juliette, A Caribean Xperienz” from Theater Cosmic, spring 2003, and “Ajax from Africa” from De Nieuw Amsterdam, fall 2003.

Denise Jannah has been featured as a guest with numerous bands, groups and orchestras throughout the years. Besides touring with her own group she has, among others, toured or performed with the Orchestra of the Royal Dutch Navy, the Orchestra of the Royal Dutch Air Force, the Royal Police Orchestra, The Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, the Rosenberg Trio, the Cyrus Chestnut Trio (USA), the renowned Dutch men’s choirs Maastreechter Staar and the Stichts Mannenkoor, the Carnegie Hall Jazz Band (USA), the Metropole Orchestra, the Fra Fra Big Band, the Fra Fra Sound, the Holland Big Band, the Dutch Jazz Orchestra, the Bob Belden Big Band (USA), the Berget Lewis Gospel Train and the Willem Breuker Collective (touring the Dutch theatres again with this renowned orchestra from September ’06 through March ’07).

She has furthermore shared the stage with distinguished colleages such as the well-known soul singer Eddie Floyd (“Knock on Wood”), jazz vocalist extraordinaire Jon Hendricks (King of Vocalese), pianists (the late) John Hicks, Bertha Hope, and Kenny Baron, bassists Ruth Davies and Ray Drummond. Among her steady accompanists are pianist Amina Figarova and guitarist Wolf Martini. International tours and/or performances included countries like Suriname, South Africa, the Caribbean, the Netherlands Antilles, Canada, Chili, Japan, Indonesia, Algeria, several European countries and the United States.

Jannah has performed for Royalty and other heads of states: she performed for Beatrix, Queen of Holland and the late Prince Claus, for leaders of the European Union at the “Eurotop”, for presidents Ellen Sirleaf Johnson (Liberia) and Ronald Venetiaan (Suriname), for former president Bill and his wife Hillary Clinton, for the Dutch Crown Prince Willem Alexander and his wife Princess Maxima, for former presidents Kenneth Kaunda (Zambia) and Nelson Mandela, and on separate occasions for Mrs. Graça Machel Mandela and Mrs. Hillary Clinton.

In the fall of 2003 she played one of the leading parts in the music theatre production “Jona” from Willem Breuker (Willem Breuker Collective) and Karel Deurloo, based on the book of Jona from the Bible.

Early 2002 Jannah started to set poetry to music. She has performed poetry in literature festivals in Holland, Suriname, South Africa, Aruba, the Netherlands Antilles and Indonesia.

In January 2004 her first, well received album containing poetry with all self composed music was released, entitled “Gedicht Gezongen” (Poetry Sung). This was her first independent release and self-produced album, which she licensed to Plattèl
Music 2004.

In 2005, outside of Holland where she resides, Jannah performed/toured in Suriname, Israel, New York, Bonaire, Algeria, Bulgaria, Servia and Indonesia.

In November 2005 she was presented with the Bata Anastacievic Festival Award at the International Nišville Jazz Festival in Niš, Servia, where she performed with the Bulgaria National Radio Big Band and the Ratko Zjaca Quartet.

On the 2006 international schedule were concerts also in South Africa, Luxembourg, Suriname, Belgium and the United Kingdom.
Jannah’s international performances in 2007 included concerts in Azerbaijan, Croatia, Bulgaria, Belgium, Curaçao, Aruba, Suriname and South Africa.

2008 tours included Taiwan, Croatia, South Africa, Suriname and Belgium.
A live album of Denise Jannah and her guitarist Wolf Martini will be released in the fall of 2009.

At least one more jazz album with a new group, ADYUUMA, with a.o. pianist Amina Figarova is expected in the fall of 2009 as well. International tours and concerts this year include Austria, Ireland, Suriname, Bonaire, Indonesia, Montenegro, the US and South Africa.

On april 29 2009, Jannah received a Royal Decoration from Her Majesty the Queen of Holland, Beatrix, as ‘Ridder in de orde van Oranje Nassau’.

This year 2010 started with a interesting tour visiting the Dutch theatres together with the renowned Rosenberg Trio and specoal guests like US vocalist Dennis Legree: blending Gypsy Swing, Soul and Gospel in the Rosenberg Soul Show!

YAKKI FAMIRIE was formed in ‘87 and is known as one of the best Kaseko bands. Kaseko music has African and Caribbean  roots and was pretty unknown outside Suriname and The Netherlands. Interactting rhythmic patterns on the big drum called Skratjie, snairdrums and percussion, solo and choir singing (interplay of question and response) and riffs from the wind section (sax, trumpet and trombone) makes the Kaseko music very attractive dance music.

Yakki Famirie est un groupe de kaséko (un genre musical du Surinam qui mêle héritages africains et caribéens). Cette musique, qui est également une danse, s’appuie sur des percussions, des instruments à vent et des choeurs. Yakki Famirie en est le précurseur.

Biografie Nederlands.

1987, Yakki Famirie wordt in Rotterdam opgericht uit het kaseko-orkest: “Conjunto Latinos”, uit Suriname. De groep legt zich toe op aleke kaseko (een mix van aleke-muziek uit Oost-Suriname en kaseko uit de kuststrook), maar experimenteert ook gretig met latin en traditionele Surinaamse kawina (feestmuziek) en (Afro-Surinaamse) rituele winti. Het resultaat is strakke, opzwepende dansmuziek, met een hoofdrol voor de koperblazers, typische skratjie (bastrom)-ritmes en Afrikaanse vraag-antwoord zang in het Auccaans, een van de talen van de Marroons.

LA CAZ is one of the most popular Surinamese music formations, which have been established since 1997 and in the Netherlands. Many members were born in the Netherlands, from Surinamese parents. La CAZ which is derived from the 2 names LA La Rouge, where some members have come and CAZ of Surinamese music style, the Kaseko but LA CAZ wants a breakthrough achieved by the traditional music Kaseko to introduce, in conjunction with the Latin — South – American music, such as the Soca, Salsa and many other musical styles, but also the R & B is discussed.

And now a piece of history about LA CAZ.

LA CAZ was founded by some members, who formerly played at La Rouge, had more desire for the traditional Kaseko would bring. Subsequently, some members from other formations attracted to come to play, including Vivian Eijck, better known as Cousin Yakkie (Neef Yakki) from Yakkie Famirie.

The other members are from Ghabiang Boys and The Rhythm. In 8 years, the gentlemen 7 albums recorded and released and the album, “Live At Surinam” their best selling album. This success acquired LA CAZ many fans in the Netherlands and Suriname and LA CAZ is a welcome guest at many parties to Surinam to BAM! time. LA CAZ also from their 2nd year of their existence regular visits to Suriname, with overwhelming success. Belgium was also affected during the Antillean celebrations in Hoogstraten. LA CAZ feel after all the different group discussions more than ever and their sound is stronger and closer to the perfect sound, where they like to pursue.

Geld (met een zachte g) maakt hem gelukkig. Hij is een beetje vreemd, maar wel lekker. Def Rhymz; een ras echte entertainer die zijn muziek benadert met een gezonde dosis humor, en bovendien een van Nederlands hiphop-pioniers! De jonge Dennis Bouman start zijn carrière binnen de vaderlandse hiphop-scene als breakdancer. Later pakt hij de mic, met succes; Def wint vele wedstrijden. Def Rhymz is wel gek maar niet achterlijk. Want al staat hij vooral bekend om zijn ondeugende teksten en haantjesgedrag, hij heeft wel degelijk wat in zijn mars. Wie van hem louter onderbroekenlol verwacht, komt bedrogen uit. Wie denkt dat Def behalve kut, lul en neuken niets te melden heeft, zal zijn (of haar) mening moeten herzien. Liefde en leed, tragiek en komedie, je vindt het allemaal op De Goeiste. En dan de muziek; zonnig, opwindend en prachtig geproduceerd. Alles voorzien van een tropische flavor; dat Surinaamse tintje dat de plaat levendig en bruisend maakt.

Ghabiang Boys, ook bekend als de ‘Ragga Papa’s’ werd in 1987 opgericht in Suriname.  De grondleggers van Ghabiang Boys zijn; Marlon (bandleider), Frits, Rene Vrede en Jules Nyon. Vervolgens kwam Erik Pryor, Clen Dendoe, Jerry Randwijk, Erik Gulpen en Harold Korendijk het team versterken. Het was meneer Vrede die aan de Eridoriestraat woonde, die een een oefenruimte aan de Ghabiang Boys ter beschikking stelde. De Ghabiang Boys repeteerde naar hartelust in die oefenruimte en werkte zo aan de opbouw van de band.Het eerste grote optreden van Ghabiang Boys, in club Sjakazulu (Keizerstraat) verliep heel succesvol. Daarna ging het stroomopwaarts met Ghabiang Boys. In 1991 namen ze hun eerste single op, welke een hit werd in Suriname en Frans Guyana. Deze eerste hitsingle resulteerde in een optreden in Frans Guyana (St Laurens). Een aantal maanden brachten ze hun eerste album uit. Drie nummers van dit eerste album, met name ‘Un gwanga baka mo’, ‘Fai sidon’ en ‘Fransi Mama’ werden tophits in Suriname.

Hun liedjes werden door heel Suriname meegezongen en wat ze toen niet wisten, ook in Nederland. Suriname werd klein voor Ghabiang Boys en ze kregen een verzoek om in Nederland een paar optredens te gaan doen. Op 14 april 1992 landde de vogels op Schiphol, om Nederland te laten genieten van hun sound en met succes! Ghabiang Boys vond Nederland leuk, ook om te wonen. Ze besloten om in Nederland te blijven en bouwde er gauw trouwe fans op. Eric Gulpen en Harold Korendijk zijn gestopt.

De fans in Suriname waren natuurlijk teleurgesteld maar dat hebben we goed gemaakt met onze eerste CD ‘Tai Hori’ in Nederland.Vanaf 1997 tot en met heden, is Ghabiang Boys jaarlijks in Suriname voor diverse optredens. In november 2006 gingen zij voor een week naar New York, gekoppeld aan een tour door Frans Guyana (Apatoe).

Hun wens is om ooit door Afrika te gaan touren.

Born Carlos Ariel Peralta multitalented super producer Maffio was brought to the United States at the age of three. His first performance was at the age of six when he played Fleur De Lis by Beethoven in the school auditorium. According to Maffio since he ever remembers he always wanted to dedicate his life to music. He plays Percussion and knows the theory behind all existing music instruments in the world.
Autodidactic musician Maffio posess the ability to create Hip Hop, R&B, Jazz, Pop, Salsa, Merengue, Reggae, Reggaeton, Dancehall among other rhythms. Maffio was raised between Dominican Republic and New York, this helped him absorbed a multicultural influence, which is reflected in his musical creations. Su nombre de pila es Carlos Ariel Peralta, reconocido en el mundo del entretenimiento como Maffio, multitalentoso y versátil son los adjetivos más precisos para describir a este súper productor. Nacido en la República Dominicana y criado en los Estados Unidos. Desde pequeño Maffio tuvo inclinación por la música clásica y siempre fue fiel admirador de artistas clásicos como, Mozart, Beethoven y Chuck Mangion. Su primera presentación ante un público fue a la edad de 6 años en el auditorio de la escuela, donde tocó Fleur de Lis de Beethoven. Maffio toca Percusión, Piano, Bajo, Guitarra y autodidácticamente se sabe la teoría detrás de la mayoría de todos los instrumentos musicales existentes.

El comienzo del año 2004 representó un período de frustración para este artista, pues se presentaron un sin numero de acontecimientos fatales inesperados. Primero la trágica muerte de su única hermana, luego la muerte de su padrastro en medio de una cirugía de corazón abierto y por consiguiente en el año 2005 la muerte de su tía materna y el asesinato de su primo materno mas cercano.

Este sin número de eventos trágicos no fueron los únicos que han transcurrido en la vida de este intérprete y productor, también en el año 1994 su tío paterno mas cercano fue asesinado a tiros en la ciudad de Nueva York. Lo positivo de las tragedias antes mencionadas es que aunque marcaron sentimentalmente la vida del artista y de su familia no representó un desenfoque en su inclinación por la música sino que sirvieron de inspiración para muchas de sus composiciones musicales.

“La música me acompaño en el entierro de mi hermana, mi fuerza fueron un papel y un lápiz que tenía el día de su velorio donde escribí una canción expresando todo lo que significaba para mi” dijo el cantante en la entrevista preliminar a este artículo. El artista también expresó que gracias a la música pudo sacar fuerzas para no llorar y darle ánimos a su madre y encargarse de todos los arreglos fúnebres de su hermana y su padrastro ya que al morir ellos, el fue lo único que le quedó en la vida y fue extremadamente fuerte para ella sobrellevar la situación. Luego de las tragedias el artista tuvo que dejar a su madre y trasladarse a los Estados Unidos para continuar con su carrera y salir adelante.

Actualmente Maffio es propietario de una compañía de producciones musicales llamada Alkatraks Entertainment, debajo de la cual se encuentra un artista de Hip Hop en Inglés, llamado Gammabars que está proyectado para promocionarse en el mercado Americano próximamente. Dentro de la compañía actualmente se están elaborando varios proyectos, entre los que se encuentra una compilación de canciones interpretadas por varios artistas de renombre y producidas por Maffio.

En este año Maffio produjo el sencillo que se esta promocionando para el album Chosen Few III: The Movie, titulado “Mi Alma Se Muere” el cual está en la lista de los mas pegados de la revista Billboard en la categoría Latin Tropical Airplay por siete semanas consecutivas, dicho sencillo también fue escogido en la conferencia anual previa a los premios Billboard (Abril 2008) para el Álbum de dicha conferencia, el cual presenta las canciones nuevas con mejores expectativas del año, segun la Billboard.

La canción también se esta promocionando en todas las radiodifusoras y cadenas televisivas mas importantes de Estados Unidos, el video esta incluido en MTV3 y Mun2, también se hizo un Remix con el merenguero Dominicano Omega y una segunda versión de la misma canción con el rapero Cubano Pittbull. Un dato bien curioso acerca de la canción “Mi alma se muere” es que esta siendo utilizada por el Pelotero Dominicano de los Mets de Nueva York, Jose Reyes cada vez que este sale al bate.

Además Maffio entre otros raperos y productores de renombre fueron invitados especiales para unirse en un video interpretado por Fat Joe, el Jamaiquino Darington Levy y el rapero Puertorriqueño, actualmente encarcelado, Tempo; dicho video también se está promocionando en Mun2 y MTV3. Maffio es miembro de la Sociedad Americana de Compositores, Autores y Publicadores (ASCAP) desde el año 2005. Con solo 22 años de edad, todas estas credenciales y muchos logros por venir Maffio es considerado un guerrero y un ejemplo de lucha y superación.

Domie is on his grind doing his first solo project “YA ORDERS READY” which consists of therapeutic detialed rhymes, with topics ranging from drama to maintain his hustle while putting guys in there place.THIS GO GETTER describes hiself as someone who is not afraid to be versitile, which is the question that was asked and he quoted ” however the fans want it I can deliver”! He has collabolrated with many of the up and comming artists from the Carolinas on up to New York City.

The latest projects was “THE SIRIUM”and “THE SIRIUM VOL.2″ from Dr. Zuess faturing many upcoming MVP’s in the game. Also was featured on songs from H The Rican’s “FROM THE BOTOM TO THE TOP” album, and can also be heard on various collage radio stations in heavy rotation. Critics have said that Hip Hop would never last but it is still standing and he is a product of this movement.

REPORTER: “Domiano what does Hip Hop mean to you?”

DOMIANO:”Hip Hop means alot, it’s my passion it comes from my heart and soul! Don’t do it if you don’t love it. Life is a stuggle and music is a perfect way to express it. I love hip hop, I love it so much I can feel it in my bones!

REPORTER: “What motivates you, what gives you your drive to write your lyrics?”

DOMIANO: “LIFE, which I am always motivated. I feed off of both positive and negative experiences along with everyday living and channel it positively into my music.”

REPORTER: “Alot of people said when Hip Hop was created in the 70’s it would not last, what do you say about that?”

DOMIANO: “I say if you are a lover of Hip Hop, someone who breaths, eats, and dreams hip hop like I do stand up for it, be a life line and keep it alive.It’s our legacy which is the past, the present, and definately the future!”

Combinatie XVI is een kawina band die op 17 maart 1998 is opgericht door muzikanten zoals Jhon Becker (bekend van A Fit So) en Ronny Nelom (bekend van Limbo) die hun sporen verdiend hadden maar echter niet passief konden blijven. Deze heren hebben hun koppen bij elkaar gestoken en een selectie van 16 mannen gemaakt. Muzikanten van andere topgroepen voegden zich bij verdiend hadden maar echter niet passief konden blijven. Muzikanten van andere topgroepen voegden zich bij de kawinaformatie met name: Sopiang Kawina Band, Ondrofeni Krioro, Yakki Famirie, Pawana, La Rouge, Oen Na Neng en vele andere muziekformaties. Na vele repetities en veranderingen te hebben ondergaan werd de Surinaamse formatie band ”Combinatie XVI” geboren.

De eerste cd was niet lang daarna een feit. Dit viel goed in de smaak bij het Surinaamse Volk, het ging zo vlot dat er in maart 1999 een tour naar Suriname werd gemaakt. Ook Suriname was zo onder de indruk dat Combinatie XVI vanaf 2002 een December tour maakte,waarbij er regelmatig werd opgetreden op eindejaars recepties binnen het bedrijfsleven. Sinds 2006 treedt deze formatie vast op voor onder andere Telesur, Surinaamse Luchtvaart Maatschappij (SLM) en niet te vergeten bij het jaarlijks terugkerende (Torie Oso) festival.

In 2006 en 2007 is Combinatie XVI uitgeroepen tot de beste kawina formatie (categorie: “buitenland”). Ook in Nederland is deze band in 2006 en 2007 benoemd tot beste Kawinaband van het jaar. Behalve Nederland en Suriname heeft Combinatie XVI in Augustus ook in België het  hoogtepunt bereikt met het optreden tijdens het Hoogstraten Festival.

Ondertussen zijn er in totaal 6 cd‘s op de markt verschenen op naam van deze muziekformatie Combinatie XVI.Binnen Nederland is Combinatie XVI de smaakmaker op diverse feestjes,wintie prey‘s recepties en festivals, vrijwel elk weekend zijn wij van Combinatie XVI volgeboekt. Men krijgt niet genoeg van de sfeer en de smaak,degene die het nog niet hebben mogen meemaken zal zeker niet weten wat hij/zij mist en tekort zal komen.

Het is een kunst en een kracht, talent en een gave gebundeld met ervaring. Fijn op maat gesneden kawina met de nodige invloed van toen en nu. Combinatie XVI profileert zich met het streven om de swingende Surinaamse kawinamuziek beroemder te maken in alle uithoeken van de horizon.

Kortom Combinatie XVI, het wonder,de naam die veel zegt en doet.
