Paolo Nutini back to Number One
Paolo Nutini has shot back to the top of the UK Official Albums Chart for the third time since June 2009.
‘Sunny Side Up’, the second album from 23-year-old the Scotsman, went back to the summit after being off the top for just two weeks.
In the thirty five weeks since its release, the album has spent no less than twenty weeks in the Top 10 and has never been out of the Top 40, according to the Official Charts Company
It was back at Number One for the last week of 2009 and the first week of 2010 before being relegated to Number Two for the next two weeks by Florence And The Machine’s debut ‘Lungs’.
Elsewhere Biffy Clyro’s ‘Only Revolutions’ is back in the top 10 at Number Nine having climbed from thirteen.
In the Official Compilation Albums Chart ‘Hope For Haiti Now’, the star-studded soundtrack from MTV’s ‘Hope For Haiti Now: A Global Benefit For Earthquake Relief Telethon’ featuring one-off collaborations with Jay-Z, Bono, The Edge and Rihanna and contributions from Coldplay and Madonna has shot straight to the top.
Meanwhile in the Official Singles Chart, Owl City’s ‘Fireflies’ stays at Number One for the second week running despite tough competition from ‘Don’t Stop Believin’ which has been rejuvenated by the cast from the US television series ‘Glee’ at two and the original version by Journey which is at Number Eight.
